Challenges of Development of Radiation Countermeasures

Abstract
There are some problems in elaborating radiation countermeasures in Russia. The article is devoted to description, analysis and possible decision of a part of them. The problems can be subdivided in 3 categories: scientific (scarcity of projects oriented towards medical preparation creation, ignoring scenarios of possible radiation incidents, insufficient usage of modern scientific technologies), organizational (scientific infrastructure underdevelopment, management disadvantages), normative regulation (desuetude of normative base of preclinical studies, ignoring peculiarities of radiation countermeasures and new approaches to their investigation).
