Abstract

The results of studies on the effects of low intensity radiofrequency electromagnetic fields at 2.4 GHz on the rat free behavior are presented. The rat exploratory behavior activity was decreased 5 days after exposure to the electromagnetic field with a power density of 13 W/m2 and a specific absorbed rate (SAR) of 0.22 W/kg. The resulting changes in the functional CNS state are manifested in the total exploratory behavior activity growth and may be associated with a decrease of cognitive processes and long-term memory of animals.
